Mystery Square

It's a puzzle I created over a decade ago, and I have decided to introduce it to you. It is called “Mystery Square”. It is made up of four different symbols, each with its own value. The numbers on the sides of the grid indicate the sum of the symbols in the corresponding row or column. It is up to you to deduce the value of each symbol. Only one solution is possible. The first two puzzles are easy, the next one is medium and the last one requires a little bit more effort.

Ten years ago, in March 2015, I started my website Innoludic. What I wanted was to present my puzzles to a larger audience. I had no clue about the duration of Innoludic and any idea about the difficulties of driving a website with diversified content. You must be silly to make a bilingual site when you are not perfectly fluent in your second language. I think the key is to be consistent and not to worry about the energy required. You should still do a cost-benefit analysis, though, because it’s a love affair, not a business affair. But, after all, Innoludic is alive after ten years, even if I have encountered a lot of hassles: A major breakdown of my server, a few years ago, they lost any backup for weeks. I thought that it was then the end. Also the migration from Joomla 3 to 4 that I have to overcome alone (version 5 is waiting). Also a problem with Google, where I lost my website rank in query (a setback of several years). Also I had problems with spammers. So you need to be unconscious or presumptuous to believe that managing a bilingual website is easy.. So why I did it? First of all, I like it. Second is because of you !. You, which visit Innoludic and like my puzzles. You, which write comments and even sometimes have exchanges with me . You, which bought my books. After 10 years I have published 1382 puzzles and 691 articles with an average of 69 posts and 138 puzzles each year. I desire to thank you for your patronage. I do not know how long I will continue (like at the beginning) but as long as the flame burns on both sides, I'll keep going.

Sudoku Limit # 13

Here is the Sudoku Limit: you have to enter numbers from 1 to 9 in each row and column. Each row and column has three bounds cells ( cells with numbers in the X). The numbers in these bounds indicate in which direction the numbers in question are placed: to the left, right, top or bottom of the bound, depending on where they are located in the X. The numbers indicated are placed between this limit and the next limit, or the edge if there is no bounds cell.
It may seem confusing, but with logic, you can find the location of each number by using the limit indications and respecting the rule that each column and row contains all the numbers from 1 to 9.
