As temperatures begin to drop, snowflakes will soon appear. In the meantime, we can solve them (instead of shoveling them) with Snowflake Sudoku. A grid is made up of hexagons (with a circle in the center). You must enter the numbers 1 to 6 in each triangle that makes up a hexagon. The problem (or rather the challenge) comes from the fact that a triangle can belong to three different hexagons. Here are three forms of Snowflake Sudoku. It's up to you to play while you wait for the real snow to fall.

I think it can be refreshing to solve snowflake sudokus in this season. Here are two Super Snowflake Sudokus ready to be solved. For those who are not yet familiar with this puzzle, the grid is made up of hexagons with a circle in the center. As you can see, the hexagons overlap. You have to enter the numbers 1 to 6 in each hexagon. They are also partial hexagons, i.e., they have fewer than 6 triangles. These have squares at their centers, into which you must enter only 4 numbers (but always between 1 and 6), and others have 3 triangles with a triangle at their center (in this case, you must enter 3 numbers between 1 and 6).
The goal is to enter all these numbers so that each hexagon is complete. This is no easy task; it requires thought and judgment.

This book has three kinds of Snowflake Sudoku : 1) the classical, 2) The giant and 3) The super. It has 200 puzzles. The snowflake Sudoku is an interesting Sudoku variation. The cells are triangles and the Sudoku doesn’t have columns and rows, it only has hexagonal regions. This puzzle has a lot of fans. If you don’t know it, then try it you will understand.
There are the three kinds of Snowflake Sudoku (in order) : classical, giant and super.

Here is the first new feature of the year: The Super Sudoku Snowflake. In an attempt to reinvigorate Sudoku Flocon, I came up with the idea of expanding a constraint, i.e. adding a new kind of partial hexagon. In classic Snowflake Sudoku, there are 6-cell hexagons and 4-cell partial hexagons, so I decided to add 3-cells. This allows to create more complex grids that are also more visually pleasing. Here are the classic snowflake, the Giant and the Super Snowflake respectively.

In the Super Snowflake, in order to know which kind of hexagon the cell belongs , I have added in the center of the hexagon a circle for the complete hexagon, a square for the 4-cell partial hexagon and a triangle for the 3-cell partial hexagon.
I have also updated the rules to describe this new puzzle.
If you love the snowflake sudoku, then the super will be…super !
