Kakuro was one of the first puzzle to emerge following the rise in popularity of Sudoku in 2005 in this part of the world. It differs from Sudoku in that it is based on arithmetic combined with logical reasoning. Essentially, the aim is to find, for each block, the numbers (from 1 to 9) that add up to the total indicated at the start of the block. No two numbers in a box may be the same. What makes things more complicated is that the horizontal and vertical boxes intersect; in other words, it takes some effort to work out the solution. Here are two grid of a respectable size for you to have a go at.
