Super Sudoku Spark 16x16
- Details
Imagine if we could modify the shape of a Super Sudoku 16X16. If we look carefully at one puzzle.

We notice that this puzzle is composed of 16 regions of size 4X4, but we could divide the puzzle into 4 parts of 8X8.

By example a Super Sudoku has 4 regions of 8X8 like this.
I was wandering what could happen if we want to insert an another region of size 8X8 into this puzzle. The most obviously method like this

produces this puzzle:

Consecutive Super Sudoku 16X16 # 1
- Details
Directly from the oven, still steaming, I present you a different flavor of the Super Sudoku: the consecutive Super Sudoku. In addition to the regular rules, each cell having a mark (white bar) must have a number that is consecutive to the other cell sharing the mark. This means that the other number in the other cell must have a difference of 1 with the original cell. By example if a cell has a 4 and has a mark then the adjacent cell (the cell who share the mark) should have either 3 or 5. This rule also implies that if no mark appears between two cells then the difference of the two numbers is greater than one. Enough discussion, try it by yourself !.

Super Sudoku X 16X16 # 1
- Details
To continue with the Super Sudoku's variations, I present you the Super Sudoku X. As you can see, the grid has two diagonals (with gray cells), this means that you need to have the numbers from 1 to 16 in each diagonal (in addition to have the same thing for the rows, columns and regions). This constrain gives you more clues to solve this kind of puzzle. I provide you two puzzles to let you appreciate this variant.
